When I think of March Break I naturally think of my kids and what to do with them so they don’t drive me nuts...But this week I was hit with some astonishing news...There are people out there with out kids, I was stunned and in disbelief...

I guess after being a mom for so long I forgot that there are people out there looking for things to do during breaks and holidays that don’t have to be kid friendly. That can involve alcohol, nudity, swearing & no car seats!

I also feel that if the opportunity should aries, mom’s and dad’s should take a day and do something all grown up for themselves. So I started chatting to these childless people and asked them what they think are the coolest and funnest things to do in Toronto...Here are a few of my faves....

1) Tour the Steam Whistle Brewery - naturally this is at the top of my list as it involves Beer...mmmmm beer...There are several different tour packages available starting at the great price of $10. Be sure to check out their web site for details...

2) Check out Dundas Square- This part of town has had such a Fabulous face lift and there is always something going on...And it's FREE...

3) Explore Chinatown and Kensington Market-  This unique part of town offers hours of fantastic shopping at unique local shops. Fabulous and eclectic food selections and just a ton of eye candy. Not too mention a great neighbourhood vibe that is sure to please.

 4) Walk the P.A.T.H- This is the largest underground shopping mall according to Guinness...and it's right under foot...literally.It is 27km and approx 1200 shops and services. This is a great outing for a rainy or snowy day as you never need to come up for air...or shoes...or wine...or food...

5) Take a ZOOM Tour - Get out of the city for a day and take a tour of Niagara Falls. With tour packages starting at $79, this is a great way to have a get away without a car or the huge price tag.

March break will be done and over before you know it. So try and get out and see something new, explore your city no matter where you live. Check your cities local website for activities, many of which are usually free.

Most of all, start the week of right with a fabulous cocktail...

"Make it or Break it..." Martini

1.5 ounces Vodka

1 ounce Campari

1 ounce White Cranberry Juice

Shake all ingredients well with ice and serve...Garnish with a lemon wheel and a new adventure...

Cheers
