
TORONTO - Almost 100 firefighters were called to the scene as a 3-alarm fire broke out shortly after 10 am this morning (Wednesday, April 25th) at Danforth Collegiate Institute and Technical School.
The fire is believed to have started in the drama room on the main floor on the south side of the building. The cause is being treated as suspicious and is still under investigation with the Fire Marshall's office.
All students and school staff were able to exit the building safely.





One firefighter was treated for overheating and exhaustion at the scene, but did not require further medical treatment.
The school is closed until further notice.
