On Monday, December 26, 2011, at 6:30 a.m., police responded to a call for a man suffering an injury to his head at 220 Oak Street.

It is reported that:
- police located a 59-year-old man, on the 15th-floor hallway, suffering from trauma to his body,
- he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe on Monday, December 26, 2011, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., the deceased was involved in a physical altercation with one or more people. Police know there were a number of people that witnessed the incident.
