TORONTO - He's played the role of Ken Barlow for over 50 years, making him the longest serving soap actor in history. Hell, the only other British personality who's been part of an ongoing soap opera longer than this fellow is Queen Elizabeth II (60 years in February)!

Coronation Street devotees, mark the calendars, for Willian Roache, aka Ken Barlow, is coming to Toronto in March.

In a wee bit of a whirl-wind Canadian tour, Mr. Roache will be bringing his one-man show to the Winter Garden Theatre on Saturday, March 17th at 2 pm.

Still leaves plenty of time for St. Paddy's Day celebrating.

If you're not going to be in Toronto on the 17th, you can catch Mr. Roache wax poetic about himself and life on Coronation Street in these other cities:

  • Ottawa - March 15th, Centrepointe Theatre
  • Hamilton - March 18th , Hamilton Place
  • Victoria - March 19th, Royal Theatre
  • Vancouver - March 21, Red Robinson Show Theatre
  • Halifax - March 23rd and 24th, Casino Nova Scotia
