Toronto-based marathon runner Danny Kassap, the Democratic Republic of Congo political refugee , began his comeback today from heart arrhythmia that caused him to collapse in the Berlin Marathon this past March.. Kassap, 28, competed in the 5k race at Toronto’s Scotia Bank 10 miler
Kassap, one of the top marathoners in Canada over the past five seasons, placed first with 15:21 - forty five seconds ahead of second place finisher Ahmed Khalif of Milton.
